Hoya australis ssp. tenuipes 'Lisa'

Hoya australis was first collected by Europeans in 1770 on the northeastern coast of Australia. There are seven species of Hoya native to Australia, with H. australis being the most prevalent. This species is epiphytic and lithophytic, growing in tree branches or rocky outcrops with it's roots largely exposed. Blooms an umbel of white star shaped flowers with red accents and a white corona.

Like most Hoya, this species enjoys very bright indirect, to direct sunlight exposure. Watering should only be considered once the medium is completely dry and the leaves begin to feel soft. Hoya australis enjoys a chunky, well draining mix and would appreciate any extra humidity offered.
