Goeppertia roseopicta
The vast majority of plants in the Calathea genus have been reclassified under the genus Goeppertia. These plants are in the Marantaceae family, which are plants that are native to the understory of South American rainforest. Most popular for following a circadian rythym - where leaves rise at night and fall during the day, they are often called prayer plants due to this.
Goeppertia roseopicta enjoys shade to medium-bright indirect light, a chunky potting mix, moderate to high temps, and is visually reliant on higher humidity levels. Does not like to get bone dry in between waterings.
May need to be repotted yearly.
Nontoxic.
4-6" nursery pots available.
